What Is Self-Adhesive Foam Board?

Self-adhesive foam board is a rigid, lightweight mounting board with a dry-mount pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one side. Once you peel away the release paper, the surface is ready to accept your print or photo. The result is a clean, secure bond with no glue or spray needed - ideal for framing, signage, and craft work.

Compared to corrugated cardboard, foam board is lighter, smoother, and easier to work with. This version makes mounting your artwork faster and more consistent.

How Our Sticky Foam Boards Are Made

Our self-adhesive foam board is constructed from three layers: a dense, CFC-free polyurethane foam centre, laminated on both sides with acid-free, smooth white card. The adhesive side is coated with a permanent acrylic glue layer, protected by a removable release liner.

All boards are 5mm thick, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. We offer a range of sizes, with each sheet cut to your exact dimensions.

How to Mount a Print onto Self-Adhesive Foam Board

• Start with the short edge: Align and press down the first 2–3 cm of your print to anchor it.
• Peel gradually: Don’t remove the entire release liner at once. Instead, peel it back a few centimetres at a time to stay in control.
• Smooth as you go: Use a soft, clean cloth (like a microfiber cloth) to press down from side to side as you unroll the print onto the adhesive.
• Large prints: Consider rolling the print around a mailing tube for easier handling and gradual application.
• Let it cure flat: Once mounted, allow the board to sit flat for a few hours before inserting into a picture frame. This prevents warping and ensures a clean finish.
